Imoto

This project is to open Kyoto cuisine restaurant in Yakuin, Fukuoka. Owner/chef practiced in Gion in Kyoto. I thought of a space suitable for a dish that expresses delicately while strongly expressing seasonal ingredients by traditional techniques nourished in Kyoto. The flat shape counter is designed to allow you to enjoy the finishing work of cooking up close while giving a moderate tension to the sense of distance between the chef and the customer. In the background, we set up hexagonal pillars of chestnut wood and took on the role of tightening space. I tried to convey the brand image of the cuisine made by chef clearly and pleasantly to customers in a simple but rich texture space.
